Continuity runs on the client and lets resource packs use OptiFine connected-texture, emissive-texture, and custom-block-layer formats without OptiFine; emissive textures apply only to blocks and item models. It includes a connected-texture pack for glass, sandstone, and bookshelves, plus a glass-pane pack that removes faces between vertically stacked panes for a seamless appearance.
