Nuit renders custom skyboxes defined through a modular JSON structure, with controls for fog, weather, day/night scenes, and sunrise or sunset effects. It supports keyframed fading and rotation, plus animated textures with optional frame interpolation. OptiFine and MCPatcher skybox formats are not handled natively; the separately named Nuit Interop project is provided for loading compatible packs. The project is identified as being in beta, so its feature set may change.
